The GWSI series and WWDR are flagship reports capturing the latest trends and policy directions on global water issues. UNESCO i-WSSM publishes Korean summaries so that the essence of international water security discussions reaches Korean policymakers, researchers, and field practitioners without delay. Beyond simple translation, each summary undergoes expert translation and editorial review, distilling key messages and policy implications into concise form — providing a foundation for decision-making at domestic water institutions and for follow-up research.
Review the UNESCO source report and define the summary scope and priorities that best match domestic policy and research needs.
Water-sector specialist translators and editors accurately render key concepts and data, refining the text for Korean readers.
Academic, government, and industry experts review the draft to ensure technical accuracy and policy relevance, with revisions applied as needed.
Polish infographics, tables, and imagery, finalizing the manuscript to publication standards.
Distribute free of charge through the UNESCO i-WSSM website, partner institutions, and libraries so the summary serves as a public good.
WWDR has focused on a single theme each year since transitioning to an annual cycle in 2017, providing in-depth analysis of global water issues. The GWSI series is planned as a sequence of up to ten issue-based volumes.
