UNESCO i-WSSM operates offices in key regions worldwide to strengthen local water security capacity.

Office Introduction
The UNESCO i-WSSM Laos Regional Office was established in July 2023 within the National University of Laos. As a water security cooperation hub in Southeast Asia, it serves as a key base for strengthening integrated water resource management (IWRM) capacity in the Mekong River basin. The office focuses on local expert training, joint research, and information sharing to address water management and climate change challenges in the region.
