The center announced on July 19 that it will co-host the "2026 Central Asia Smart Water Management Expert Training Program" with the Korea Foundation (KF) Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, to be held from July 20 to 24, 2026, at water management sites across Korea, including Daejeon, Cheonan, Hwaseong, and Seoul.
Marking the tenth session of the Korea-Central Asia smart water management capacity-building program, the training will bring together senior officials and experts in water management from four Central Asian countries. During the training period, the Center will also co-organize the "Korea-Central Asia Water Industry Cooperation Multilateral Meeting and Seminar" on July 23.
Hosting this training program is significant in that it strengthens the foundation for cooperation in water management ahead of the First Korea-Central Asia Summit, scheduled to be held in Seoul in mid-September.
This milestone was also featured in a press release by Yonhap News Agency.
